Find your state/district policy on gifted education.

If neither exists, visit the NAGC state definitions page and review.

  1. Are multiple criteria used? Which combination rule is used?
  2. How would the number of students identified change if we change to AND, OR, MEAN rules?
  3. What are some ways you could change identification practices to increase the number of students identified?
  4. What are the implications of different combinations rules for services?
  5. Look at the different criteria, which do you think would make for the best screener in a two-phase system?
