The National Center for Research on Gifted Education (NCRGE) invites you to a free research roundtable event on Thursday, Nov. 17, from 1-3 pm. The event will be held in the White River G room at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis, Indiana. We will conclude before the welcome and opening keynote of the NAGC Annual convention.
The purpose of the session is to engage active gifted education researchers in conversations about their research initiatives and implications for the future work of the field. As part of NCRGE outreach, we are periodically holding informal thought sessions such as this with current researchers.
We plan to hold several rotations of roundtable discussions on the following topics:
- What are some of the research successes you have achieved in current or recent projects?
- What are some of the challenges you have faced in recent research work, and how have you addressed those challenges?
- What are the next big questions researchers in the field of gifted education should be tackling?
- What are your questions or tips related to the “nuts and bolts” of managing research grants and projects?
You’ll have an opportunity to rotate through table discussions for 2-3 of the four topics listed above. We will also take some time to debrief and discuss some questions and possibilities for future collaborative research activities.
Registration has closed, but if you are in Indianapolis and would like to participate, feel free to join us.
